What happens when a professional chef – devoted to flavor and experience – transfers her decades of experience into another business dedicated to memory making? The precision and beauty of Wooly Wax candles and home goods.

For each bespoke scent she creates, Rachel Woolcott works backward from memory. Either from her own life or those of her clients. As a child, Rachel would sneak into her father’s study where she would imbibe a comforting bouquet of leather, wood and scotch – this memory inspired the Wooly Wax Burmese Teakwood candle.

On most days, you’ll find Rachel formulating and pouring her creations with careful precision. Her love for creating mood and energy is apparent in the aesthetic of Wooly Wax headquarters and retail shop located in the Berkley neighborhood of Denver.
